Are you a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) near Princeton, NJ? Are you eager to be part of an innovative and long-standing partnership at Princeton University? Are you inspired by people’s transformation? Do you believe everyone can change and want to help people make improvements in their health?

TrestleTree is a leading national health transformation company who has partnered with Princeton University to offer onsite, telephonic and videoconference health coaching for Princeton University employees and family members for over 12 years. We are hiring a full-time Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian to join other TrestleTree Health Coaches at Princeton University to be part of this influential program to help individuals transform their health.

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian who is committed to helping people improve their health. No experience in health coaching is required, as we provide intensive training that equips you to effectively work with Princeton University employees and family members to change their health behaviors, and we have a culture of continued learning. We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian who has excellent oral and written communication skills, has excellent computer skills, is flexible, and is an active learner. Experience working with a diverse population, a broad knowledge base of medical conditions, and a strong understanding about Diabetes, Hypertension, and Dyslipidemia is required. Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole is preferred and not required.

TrestleTree Health Coaches provide ongoing, scheduled appointments onsite at Princeton University and via telephone or videoconference for chronic condition management, weight management, tobacco cessation, nutrition, exercise and stress. Health Coaches also work closely with TrestleTree and the Princeton University Benefits and Employee Health teams to initiate, host and/or support wellness seminars, enrollment activities, presentations, program development and enhancements, etc. TrestleTree health coaching is more than just giving advice. TrestleTree Health Coaches connect with individuals to build relationships of trust and help them develop an individualized plan for improved health within the unique context of their health and life story. You will have an opportunity to positively influence the health, life and overall well-being of Princeton University employees and family members.

To be considered for this position, candidates must currently reside near Princeton, be an RN or RD, have current licensure in New Jersey, and have excellent (above average) skills on the computer. The start date for this position will be determined once a candidate is hired, and we are looking to hire and start training as soon as possible. Five weeks of remote video training will be conducted upon hire. This is a full-time position (i.e., 40 hours per week), and we are not considering part-time candidates. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, with a set schedule. Health Coaches currently work three days onsite at Princeton University and two days remotely from home, including one night until 8pm, and we will only consider candidates who are willing to work full-time onsite in case there are future needs for that. Candidates must also have excellent internet connectivity and a private work-from-home environment that is free from distractions and noise.
