Full Job Description

Freestanding Emergency Room with locations in Frisco & Carrollton, TX open 24/7 providing all emergency care services and equipped with on-site CT, X-Rays, ultrasound and laboratory services. Looking for PRN RN Day & Night Shifts available with free standing emergency room experience.

Responsibilities:

PRN SHIFTs Available: Day (7a-7p) Night (7p-7a) / Weekends & Holidays
Monitor patient's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care.
The RN is expected to perform her clinical duties independently.
The RN is expected to perform and run labs.
Complete training in the use of laboratory equipment and required documentation to comply with OSHA and CLIA standards.
Observe and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate same to physicians.
Collaborate with physicians to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Perform routine procedures (blood pressure, administering injections, starting IVs, etc) and document in patient charts.
Adjust and administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (disinfecting equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Current Texas RN license or compact license accepted.
Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required.
RN Diploma, Associates or BS degree in nursing.
At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience required (preferably in a free standing ER).
Efficient time management skills with ability to anticipate workflow.
Responsible and compassionate.
Team player with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willingness to follow them at all times.
Ability to work with patients of all ages.
Ability to work all shifts including day, evening, weekends, and holiday hours as needed.

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
