Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Building Technician to join our facilities management team. This role is essential in ensuring the operational integrity, safety, and aesthetic quality of our buildings and equipment. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry duties, to support a well-maintained and efficient environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for keeping building equipment in proper working condition

· Responsible for schedule and execution of preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment, including but not limited to A/C filters, elevator hydraulic filter, light bulb replacement, parking lot gates

· Responsible for schedule and execution of preventative inspections of facility equipment including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and exit lights

· Responsible for basic repairs and replacements of windows, door locks, window blinds, faucets, cubicles

· Responsible for record keeping on all repairs and inspections, both internal and contracted

· Schedules, coordinates and oversees major facility repairs, renovations and additions with outside contractors.

· Responsible for ground maintenance, including snow removal and lawn care when needed

· Responds to alarm inquiries after business hours as needed

· Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, painting, fixtures, lighting, shelving, woodwork and flooring

· Responsible for forklift maintenance and minor repairs

· Oversees the cleaning associate, who handles cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, vacuums and empties daily trash

· Responsible for filling vending machines located in facility

· Responsible for purchasing building supplies, parts and misc. items as necessary

· Schedule M-Th 6am-4pm or 630am-430p

PRIMARY SKILLS NEEDED TO SUCCEED

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

1-3 years of related and successful experience building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair

Proficient knowledge and use of hand and power tools

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

Ability to communicate via email

Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical systems

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be able and willing to work outside normal business hours as needed

Must be able to supervise outside contractors

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to travel to NYC if needed

Pay: $46,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
