Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced cook ready to grow their career into a leadership role as Kitchen Manager, helping lead our kitchen team with passion, precision, and innovation. This pivotal role combines meticulous kitchen operations, and team leadership to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, and inspire a team dedicated to making great food. Join us to shape memorable food experiences while managing all aspects of kitchen management with energy and professionalism. Role includes actively cooking as well as part of the kitchen line. We are a small team and everyone chips in.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
Cooking on the line in a fast paced environment. As a small team, management cooks too. We operate a fast casual dinner bar and a breakfast restaurant, experience in both is helpful.
Work with ownership to manage inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste, optimize costs, and maintain consistent quality.
Work with ownership to streamline menus and create new dishes.
Supervise kitchen staff by providing clear direction, training on food safety sanitizing procedures, dietary requirements, and culinary techniques.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and health regulations across all kitchen activities.
Monitor staff performance during shifts and foster a positive team environment that encourages growth and accountability.

Requirements

Proven experience in fast paced, fast casual, dining establishments with strong background in cooking, and some entry level kitchen management.
Extensive knowledge of food safety handling procedures, sanitizing protocols, inventory management, and cost control strategies.
Skills in menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and serving operations.
Some experience managing a team, although will to train the right person who is ready for the next step in their culinary career..
