BRISTOL COUNTY AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOLJOB DESCRIPTIONTitle: Admissions, Outreach, and Extension Activities CoordinatorPosition OverviewThe Bristol County Agricultural High School Admissions, Outreach and Extension Activities Coordinator leads initiatives that strengthen agricultural education beyond the traditional school day and beyond the school's current student enrollment. The Coordinator builds and sustains partnerships with agricultural institutions, industry leaders, alumni, government agencies, colleges and universities, and community organizations, positioning Bristol Aggie as a statewide leader in agricultural education, workforce development, and community engagement.A key responsibility of this position is supporting the development and implementation of regional initiatives designed to establish the school as a center for agricultural education, workforce development, and innovation. Expand opportunities through: Middle school agricultural education pathwaysAdult and continuing education programsWorkforce training and industry partnershipsCollege and university collaborationsRegional economic and workforce development initiativesThe Coordinator will also oversee programs such as Aggie After Dark, expanding educational opportunities beyond the school day while leading youth engagement, alumni relations, K12 outreach, admissions support, and strategic communications that promote Bristol Aggie's mission and programs.Through strategic partnerships, innovative programming, and community engagement, the Coordinator will expand access to agricultural education, strengthen workforce development, and further establish Bristol Aggie as the Commonwealth's leading hub for agricultural learning, innovation, and extension services.Duties and Responsibilities1. Admissions, Data, & AdministrationResponsible for relationship building with sending schools, prospective students and families, and collaboration with staff to maximize the BCAHS image and brand throughout Bristol County.Responsible for oversight and management of the MA Department of Education recruitment and admissions process under the current lottery regulations for Bristol County Agricultural High School.Provides outreach to local communities outside of traditional school settings such as Boys and Girls Club, and youth groups.

Responsible for conducting presentations at sending schools as well as giving scheduled tours on campus for prospective students.Responsible for working with and training Vo-Ag students to help in conducting tours on campus.Responsible for creating and updating marketing and informational material to be sent to schools and prospective students/families. (via brochures, posters, social media information and updating BA website)Responsible for overseeing the online system for student applications, sticking to agreed upon admissions deadlines, and guiding families (who may need the extra help) through the admissions process. Responsible for conducting all interviews for prospective students both on and off campus. Respond to all student, parent, guidance counselor inquiries or requests regarding school admission requirements, programs and other related matters pertaining to application to the school.

Responsible for returning emails and phone calls within 48 business hours, unless scheduled days off (in which case auto-vacation responder should be on).Overseeing the office operations where appropriate to include data entry of application decisions, telephone, and other administrative duties.Coordinate admissions events working weekend and evening hoursCoordinates and oversees admissions budget. 2. Outreach and Engagement Reach out to the community, and be a point of contact for communications from outside screening calls and vetting the requests for external partnership, then in collaboration with the High School administration, strengthen industry partnerships, propose initiatives that directly benefit student instruction, internships, and workforce pathways.In collaboration with the Superintendent, strengthen partnerships with MDAR, USDA, the Farm Bureau, SEMAP, postsecondary institutions, UMass Extension, private industry, commodity groups (such as dairy and horticulture), Bristol and Plymouth Conservation Districts, and agricultural nonprofits. Work with the high school administration to integrate these partnerships into the school day and beyond where appropriate and as capacity allows.Lead public relations and outreach efforts to promote the Agricultural Institute, local farmers, and the Bristol County Agricultural High School District.

Support a positive image of the district through news stories, social media, and website updates in collaboration with public relations, school groups, and the Technology Director.Organize community events which may include but not limited to: workshops, field trips, campus visits, afterschool speaker series connecting students, families, and the public with agriculture at our campus.3. Extension ProgrammingAssist in the creation and growth of Bristol Aggies Agricultural Institute as a hub for continuing education and workforce training.Implement Farm to Community initiatives as part of Ag InstituteCoordinate with the high school administration in working with the Farm-to-School Coordinator position, ensuring alignment of greenhouse, livestock, and cafeteria operations with curriculum and community outreach.Collaborate with the high school administration to pursue funding to support increasing our strengthened partners to develop training pipelines for agricultural careers that align with our campus Agricultural-Vocational programs. Extend and facilitate student participation in statewide youth-focused agricultural organizations while expanding opportunities for students and the community through mentorships, evening classes, revenue-generating and sustained student roles, and alumni-led programming.Strengthen alumni relations by establishing a mentoring network, highlighting alumni success stories, and connecting alumni to events and curriculum support.Develop after-school outreach to engage younger students (grades 5-8) in agricultural learning. Responsible for performing any and all other duties assigned by the Superintendent/Director.
