Job description:
The Loc District is hiring an experienced loctician to join our growing specialty loc salon in Rhode Island.
We are looking for someone who is confident in their skills, dependable, professional with clients, and comfortable working as part of a team. This is a full-time hourly employee position with salon-generated clientele, structured scheduling, opportunities for advanced training, and 100% of tips paid to the stylist.
Schedule: Full Time Schedule (32-40hrs)THURSDAY-SUNDAY REQUIRED

Friday 9:30-6pm or 11:30-8:00
Saturday 9:30-6pm or 11:30-8:00
Sunday 9:30-6pm or 2pm-8pm
All hours include 30 minute unpaid break

What You’ll Be DoingClient Services
- Perform loc services including retwists, loc styling, starter loc installations, interlocking, treatments and other advanced techniques.
- Deliver a high-quality client experience from consultation through completion
- Maintain strong service quality while working efficiently and meeting salon timing expectations
- Demonstrate the ability to complete a standard retwist service within 2.5 hours or less while maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction
- Assist with advanced services such as instant locs, loc extensions, micro locs and repairs (training provided)
- Educate and guide clients on maintenance and healthy loc practices
Salon Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation at all times
- Support salon operations including laundry, tool sanitation, and maintaining shared spaces
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented salon culture
