Full Job Description

Cork and Rye Gastropub is a small locally owned and operated restaurant in the heart of Warwick, RI. We have two dining options under one roof. We offer a range of services including lunch, dinner, takeout, catering and private events. We are a growing team and in need of an experienced Dining Room Manager. There will be a variety of day and night shifts and oversight of operations and food service. Benefits, work life balance and strong employee tenure are the heart of the operation.

Salaried position considered

Dining Room Manager Responsibilities:

Opening and closing the restaurant.
Daily specials, inventory management, reservation management.
Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members.
Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to waitstaff.
Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.
Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
Purchasing new ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as stock is damaged or depleted.
Sourcing better deals on all resources and equipment that warrant replacing or replenishing.
Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.
Software management with OpenTable, POS and more.
Nights, Weekends and some days shifts.

Dining Room Manager Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field.
Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant.
Intermediate accounting and arithmetic skills.
Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.
Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
Innovative, trustworthy, and impartial.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
