Full Job Description

We are seeking a Critical Care Nursing Clinical Manager to join the team at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for translating and supporting the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Critical Care team and overseeing the delivery of nursing services across all designated patient care units. This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $105,705.60-$211,369.60.

Responsibilities:

· Direct and coordinate resources for the delivery of care to patients and their families across units on a 24/7 basis, fostering a supportive health care environment that is trauma-informed, least restrictive and free from coercion, retaliation, or discipline

· Monitor and evaluate assignment of patient care based on needs and acuity level and set strategic vision for area according to Magnet standards of excellence, setting unit-based goals and objectives consistent with overall departmental and institutional perspective

· Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental and safety standards for unit in collaboration with Environmental Safety Program Manager, Safety Officer, and the hospital quality and safety committees

· Interview applicants and recommend hiring conditions for new employees and evaluate individual performance of staff members, provide developmental feedback and discuss and evaluate individual performance goals when needed

· Work collaboratively with staff, peers, and Professional Practice Development staff, including Clinical Nurse Specialists and Clinical Nurse Leaders, to continually update existing standards of care and ensure educational needs are met

· Complete monthly variance reports, evaluate and adjust operations accordingly and monitor and control expenses compared to budget

· Maintain current and active Safety Care Level 1 certification and complete annual re-certification as required

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or active matriculation; MSN preferred

· Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or a Nurse Licensure Compact state

· 3-5 years of prior experience in clinical management of direct or related field
