Position Summary
The Lead Interior Designer is responsible for managing luxury residential projects from initial client meetings through final installation.
This position requires a designer who can confidently lead clients, make informed design decisions, manage project timelines, oversee supporting team members, and maintain profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of operating independently with minimal oversight. ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership
- Lead residential design projects from concept through completion
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and design reviews
- Develop and present complete design concepts and specifications
- Manage project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables
- Coordinate with architects, builders, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct site visits and construction walkthroughs as needed
- Maintain project momentum while proactively identifying and resolving challenges
Design Development
- Create comprehensive finish and material selections
- Develop cabinetry, millwork, tile, plumbing, lighting, and finish specifications
- Review construction documents and identify design opportunities or concerns
- Maintain high design standards consistent with the Styled Life Design Co. brand
- Produce detailed design documentation and presentation materials
- Balance creativity with practicality, budget awareness, and construction feasibility
Team Leadership
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior designers
- Review work for accuracy, completeness, and quality
- Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining project quality
- Support the continued improvement of company systems and processes
- Foster a collaborative and supportive studio culture
- Share knowledge generously and contribute to team success
- Help develop and strengthen team members through coaching and encouragement
- Celebrate team wins and prioritize collective success over personal recognition
Business Development
- Cultivate relationships with builders, architects, real estate professionals, and prospective clients
- Represent Styled Life Design Co. professionally within the community and industry
- Contribute to client acquisition efforts

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential interior design experience
- Experience managing projects from concept through construction completion
- Strong understanding of custom residential construction and detailing
- Experience preparing finish schedules, specifications, and construction documentation
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and client management abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license and ability to attend project sites
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, project management capability, and demonstrated ability to contribute to business growth.
Additional performance-based compensation opportunities are available for client origination, project leadership, and business development efforts.
Pay: $52,247.09 - $82,921.23 per year
