Position Announcement

At Utah Valley University's Lehi campus, the University Relations Manager plays an important role in expanding educational opportunities for students by strengthening partnerships between Concurrent Enrollment and university academic departments. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and high school educators to support high-quality academic programs that help students successfully transition to higher education. Individuals in this role become trusted partners across educational communities, helping coordinate instructor onboarding, faculty development, and instructional support while fostering strong, productive relationships.

This position provides a unique blend of relationship management, program leadership, and strategic planning. The University Relations Manager contributes to the continued growth and success of Concurrent Enrollment by overseeing instructional operations, supporting innovative course delivery models, monitoring program effectiveness, and using data to inform decision-making. For professionals who enjoy building partnerships, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact on student success, this role offers the opportunity to work with dedicated educators while helping advance UVU's commitment to accessible, high-quality education throughout the region.

Summary of Responsibilities

Communications: Develops and manages communications with UVU academic departments, department chairs, and faculty who support Concurrent Enrollment regarding course offerings, instructor approvals, and program initiatives. Collaborates with the Engagement Team to create and deliver training materials and resources across print, web, and presentation platforms. Coordinates communication and support for digital education course delivery, ensuring effective collaboration between academic departments and Concurrent Enrollment partners. Serves as a primary resource for faculty and high school stakeholders, connecting them with the information, training, and support needed for successful program implementation. When assigned, serves as the primary liaison to the Bridge Program and World Languages Department in collaboration with the Director of Academic Success & Partnerships.
Training & Professional Development: Develops and delivers onboarding and ongoing training for faculty liaisons and UVU Digital Education faculty; plans and executes professional development conferences, workshops, and make-up training sessions; and collaborates with academic leadership to coordinate annual liaison and department chair training to support continuous professional growth.
Analysis, Reporting & Program Administration: Maintains faculty liaison and department records; coordinates and tracks site visits, professional development participation, and liaison compensation; manages syllabus collection and program documentation; administers surveys and analyzes results to support continuous improvement; implements program policies and procedures; and prepares reports and data for stakeholders.
Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong partnerships with UVU department chairs, faculty, and liaisons; leads stakeholder recognition and engagement initiatives; coordinates the Digital Education program with campus partners; and collaborates to resolve course, faculty, and student issues while ensuring effective program operations.
Budget: Develops and manages area budgetary aspects related to high school relations activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support the program's initiatives effectively.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree plus three to five years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling at least seven years.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge

Knowledge of secondary and higher education curricula, instructional environments, and professional development practices.
Knowledge of concurrent enrollment program objectives, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of data collection, reporting, recordkeeping, and performance tracking methods.
Knowledge of administrative and financial processes related to educational program operations.

Skills

Strong organizational, administrative, and customer service skills.
Skilled in problem-solving, prioritization, and managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
Skill in data management, report generation, and maintaining accurate records.
Skill in financial tracking, budget monitoring, and fiscal record management.

Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with high school and university faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with individuals from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds.
Ability to foster collaboration, teamwork, and consensus among stakeholders with differing priorities and interests.
