Overview:
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team in Claremore, Oklahoma. The Quality Manager oversees quality processes to assure conformance with appropriate manufacturing standards and regulations, assures consistent product quality by developing, implementing and monitoring the quality systems, as well as monitoring and validating processes and providing documentation. Responsible for continued training and adherence to the company’s standard troubleshooting methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use of QA methodologies to determine root cause(s) and the development, implementation and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Thorough understanding of QA methodologies and systems.
- Interacts with customers, third party Inspectors.
- Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
- Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
- Keep up on standards, regulations/law, issues and news with respect to product (service) quality.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
- Lead a team of inspectors, auditors, and technicians.
- Oversees processes in receiving, work in process and final inspections.
- Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
- Work with customers, employees, contractors and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements.
- Oversee return goods authorization process.
- Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Responsible for clerical duties under the umbrella of Document Control responsibilities.
Hayden Industrial has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) and industry standards.
- Experience with quality tools such as root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with product testing, inspection techniques, and material specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software/systems.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is a plus.
- Previous supervisor experience preferred.

This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes.

While performing duties of this job, the person in this position might remain stationary for long periods of time, while operating a computer and other office machinery. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and operate office machinery.
The employee might occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
On occasion, the employee may be required to visit the shop that is a non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel is required for this position.
