Overview

We are seeking energetic and compassionate Residential Direct Care professionals to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care and support to residents in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with cognitive disabilities, and age-related conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status regularly, reporting any concerns promptly
Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols
Provide engaging social support and facilitate group activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively during transfers
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
Document care activities accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with team members about residents’ needs

Skills

Prior assisted living or residential care home experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques a plus
Ability to perform safe patient lifting practices and heavy lifting when necessary
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for client transportation or community outings

All positions are paid roles that contribute directly to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve. Some positions require overnight shift work.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
