Full Job Description

General Purpose:

This position is responsible for servicing and maintaining production machinery. Must be able to work under the direction of a more experienced Technician. Must show ability to work in this industrial environment safely, effectively and independently. Expected to advance to next Technician2 Level (II or III) within 6 to 12 months depending on assigned area.

Works under the supervision of Technician II or III

Works Independently

Trains and directs Technician I and II on proper maintenance

practices

Responsibilities:

· Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment by following all safety protocols and performing routine housekeeping and workplace organization.

· Troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment.

· Support production in connection with any technical issues.

· Identify, request and periodically order parts needed to maintain equipment operation.

· Can effectively work with the use of computers to access the EAM system as well as other functions.

· Operate material handling equipment, overhead cranes and rigging to safety accomplish tasks.

· Good overall Communication skills.

· Communicate daily with advance Techs, Team Leads, and Lead Coordinator with machinery repairs needs.

· Work with contractors to the needs for equipment/company support.

· Fully supporting the CSWind Maintenance Program.

· Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions

· Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms

· Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who may be globally dispersed

· Set a good example of personal integrity

· Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes

· Regular & reliable attendance

· Demonstrates a safety mindset

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

· High School graduate/GED

· Associates degree within required technical and/or engineering related disciplines and/or a minimum of 2 years work experience from similar job.

· Will consider a completed apprenticeship program of no less than 4 years within related fields.

· Must be able to read and interpret schematics, drawings and technical documents.

· Must have strong technical abilities with mechanical & electrical equipment.

· Has documented or demonstrative working knowledge of computers and can work in a systematic and structured manner.

· Must be familiar with a work order system.

· Standing and or walking for periods up to 4 hours.

· Frequent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds from floor to shoulder height.

· Frequent use of hand tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Kneeling, squatting, and climbing on, in and around equipment.

· Operation of hand-held tools up to 6 hours per day.

· Long hours, weekends and holidays are a potential
