Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Exhibit Designer / Architectural professional to bring captivating visual stories to life through expertly crafted exhibits and architectural installations. In this role, you will conceptualize, design, and develop engaging environments that inspire audiences and elevate brand experiences. Your expertise in digital design, 3D modeling, and fabrication processes will drive the creation of immersive displays that seamlessly blend artistic vision with technical precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, pushing the boundaries of exhibit and architectural design to deliver memorable visitor experiences.

Duties

Develop conceptual design ideas through sketches, digital renderings, and detailed technical drawings using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Create comprehensive 3D models and prototypes for exhibits or architectural features, ensuring functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and clients to translate creative concepts into feasible construction documents and specifications.
Utilize CAD software to produce precise technical drawings for fabrication and installation processes.
Conduct design research to incorporate innovative materials, sustainable practices, and current industry trends into project solutions.
Oversee the development of prototypes using tools like KeyShot for rendering or Maya for complex modeling to visualize final concepts effectively.
Support fabrication and manufacturing teams by providing detailed instructions and technical support during production phases.
Engage in cross-functional collaboration to refine designs based on feedback from stakeholders while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Experience

Three (3+) years of experience in exhibit design, architectural visualization or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in digital design tools including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), SolidWorks or Creo for 3D modeling; experience with Maya is a plus.
Skilled in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for visual presentation development.
Demonstrated ability in product development, packaging design, or industrial design with a focus on mechanical knowledge and fabrication techniques.
Experience developing prototypes for physical models or functional exhibits using CAD software and fabrication methods.
Knowledge of mechanical design principles applicable to furniture or exhibit structures; familiarity with manufacturing processes including fabrication and assembly is preferred.
Strong understanding of design research methodologies combined with technical proficiency in engineering design prototyping.
Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams while translating complex concepts into clear visual language.
