Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our dynamic culinary team! As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other confections, ensuring each item meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items, following established recipes and standards
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, fondant, or other creative toppings to meet customer specifications
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
Package baked goods carefully for display or customer purchase while ensuring freshness and presentation quality
Assist with food preparation tasks such as dough mixing, portioning, and ingredient measurement using basic math skills
Support high-volume production needs during busy periods while maintaining consistency and quality in every item produced
Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on daily tasks and special projects

Qualifications

Proven experience in baking or pastry preparation within a commercial kitchen or food industry setting
Strong knife skills and proficiency in dough preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a high-volume environment
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on recipe adherence and presentation standards
Basic math skills for ingredient measurement and portion control
Previous experience with cake decorating, food production, catering, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle requests professionally
Culinary experience demonstrating versatility across baking disciplines such as pastry preparation and food handling skills
