Position Summary
A growing and innovative client in the healthcare industry is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee its human resources functions. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies, strengthening talent acquisition and development, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture, and aligning employees with the organization's mission, values, and business objectives.The ideal candidate is a trusted HR partner who combines strong operational expertise with sound judgment, discretion, emotional intelligence, and a proactive approach to employee relations and organizational growth.Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Leadership and Operations
- Plan, direct, and oversee the organization's human resources operations and initiatives.

Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, hiring, onboarding, performance management, professional development, employee relations, and separation of employment.

Serve as a strategic liaison among administration, physicians, managers, and employees.

Provide guidance and support to leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, organizational policies, and HR best practices.

Support the continued development, growth, and improvement of the Human Resources function.

Provide administrative and management support as needed to advance the organization's operational objectives.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies for clinical, technical, administrative, and support positions.

Coordinate interviews, candidate assessments, reference checks, employment offers, and hiring processes.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of talent acquisition and candidate-selection practices.

Ensure a professional, organized, and welcoming onboarding experience for all new employees.

Promote the organization as an employer of choice within the healthcare community.
Employee Relations and Workplace Culture
- Address employee concerns, workplace conflicts, complaints, and disciplinary matters fairly, consistently, promptly, and confidentially.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, physicians, and organizational leadership.

Compliance, Policies, and Records Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable Puerto Rico and federal employment laws, workplace safety requirements, healthcare-related regulations, and internal policies.

Maintain accurate, complete, confidential, and current personnel records in accordance with applicable legal and organizational requirements.

Review, develop, and update employee policies, internal regulations, handbooks, and operating procedures.

Promote and enforce compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, standards, and workplace expectations.

Report equipment failures, workplace incidents, safety concerns, and clinical errors through the appropriate organizational channels.

Maintain required professional licenses, certifications, credentials, and continuing education, as applicable to the position.
Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Leave Administration
- Support payroll administration and employee time-and-attendance processes.

Assist with employee leave requests, documentation, tracking, and approval processes.

Recommend competitive compensation structures and employee-benefit programs aligned with organizational needs and market practices.

Work with payroll and timekeeping platforms such as UKG, ADP, Paychex, or comparable systems.

Maintain accurate attendance records and promote compliance with established scheduling and timekeeping requirements.
Training and Organizational Development
- Assess clinical, administrative, compliance, and leadership-development needs.

Coordinate orientation programs, employee training, professional-development initiatives, and leadership-development programs.

Participate in and facilitate assigned training programs.

Support performance-management and employee-development initiatives that strengthen accountability, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

- Graduate-level education in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of three years of progressive Human Resources experience.

Experience supporting or managing a workforce of more than 50 employees.

Experience within healthcare, medical practices, or other regulated environments is strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience with payroll and time-and-attendance systems such as UKG, ADP, Paychex, or comparable platforms.
