Full Job Description

Commercial Insurance Agent - Trucking

Truckers Only Insurance Services, LLC. is hiring a Commercial Insurance Agent specializing in trucking insurance.

This is a remote employee position responsible for selling and servicing commercial insurance products for trucking and motor carrier clients.

Responsibilities

Quote and sell commercial trucking insurance policies
Manage prospective clients from initial contact through policy binding
Gather information required for commercial insurance applications
Review driver, vehicle, loss history and underwriting information
Prepare accurate applications and supporting documentation
Work with insurance carriers, underwriters and wholesale brokers
Present insurance options and pricing to prospective clients
Follow up on outstanding quotes and underwriting requirements
Maintain accurate client and account records
Assist with renewal accounts
Communicate with clients regarding coverage and insurance requirements

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of commercial trucking insurance experience
Active Property and Casualty insurance license
Professional proficiency in English and Spanish
Prior insurance sales experience
Demonstrated experience selling and closing commercial insurance accounts
Knowledge of commercial auto and motor carrier insurance
Experience reviewing loss runs, MVRs, driver schedules and vehicle schedules
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Reliable internet connection and appropriate home workspace

Schedule

Monday through Friday.

The company’s standard operating hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time. The employee’s assigned working hours will be established at the time of hire.

This is a remote position within the United States.

Compensation

Base pay: $16.00-$24.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and prior sales performance.

This position also includes variable compensation based on broker fees associated with eligible accounts:

New business: 40% of the applicable broker fee
Renewals: 15%-30% of the applicable broker fee, based on the employee’s experience and tenure under the company’s compensation structure

Broker-fee compensation is variable and depends on eligible accounts sold or renewed. It is paid in addition to hourly base compensation.
