For more than two decades, FIS has supported established organizations by delivering comprehensive, enterprise‑wide solutions that integrate industry best practices and minimize operational risk.

We are seeking a Project Manager to support Quality Control (QC) operations within a high‑speed pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a project leader experienced in QC laboratory systems, capital projects, and cross‑functional execution.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead and coordinate Quality Control–related projects, ensuring structured planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery. You will oversee initiatives that may include laboratory upgrades, equipment replacements, technology modernization, method transfers, compliance improvements, and workflow optimization.

This role requires strong collaboration with QC, QA, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Validation, Manufacturing, and external partners. You will ensure project objectives are met while maintaining compliance, data integrity, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead QC‑focused projects from initiation through planning, execution, commissioning, qualification, and final handover.
Develop project plans, schedules, resource needs, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams including QC analysts, QA, Engineering, Validation, IT, Procurement, and external vendors.
Manage laboratory equipment upgrades, replacements, and new technology implementations (e.g., analytical instruments, data systems).
Ensure alignment with QC operational needs, regulatory requirements, and site priorities.
Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and decision‑making sessions.
Track progress against baseline plans and provide regular status updates to leadership.
Identify risks, delays, and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies.
Support change control, documentation updates, and qualification/validation activities.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, data integrity, and quality system requirements throughout project execution.
Prepare executive‑ready presentations, reports, and decision‑support materials.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience managing projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience supporting Quality Control laboratories, analytical equipment, or QC operations.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle phases: FEL, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working with cross‑functional and global teams, including external vendors and A/E firms.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

Experience with QC laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS, Empower, CDS, stability systems).
Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently while driving alignment across diverse teams.
PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
Occasional walking through laboratory, industrial, or construction areas; PPE required as needed.
Must be able to work on‑site at manufacturing facilities.

Schedule & Compensation

8‑hour shift
Overtime and weekend availability may be required
