Full Job Description

We are a retina and comprehensive specialty practice committed to clinical excellence and exceptional patient care, seeking an enthusiastic and patient-centered Licensed Optometrist (OD) to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time, flexible schedule.

This role is ideal for an optometrist seeking work-life balance, clinical variety, and the opportunity to play a key role in the management and growth of our Clinic, while also performing refractions and collaborating with our optical department.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients in the clinic, including diagnosis, treatment planning, follow-up, and patient education.
Perform comprehensive optometric exams and refractions.
Collaborate with the optical department to support appropriate eyewear and lens solutions.
Work closely with retina specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Accurately document clinical findings and treatment plans in the electronic medical record.
Educate patients on ocular health, preventive care, and treatment options.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) – required.
Active license to practice in Puerto Rico.
Clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong interest in specialty care are welcome.
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.

Flexible, part-time schedule
Weekday availability (Monday–Friday)
No rigid hour requirements; schedule designed collaboratively
