Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures related to cardiovascular health, supporting cardiologists and other medical professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. Duties
- Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, and stress tests, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate specialized medical equipment such as vascular ultrasound imaging devices, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and cardiac rhythm analysis tools with precision.
- Assist cardiologists during interventional radiology procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring all protocols are followed meticulously.
- Monitor vital signs continuously during procedures, assessing patient physiology and responding promptly to any abnormalities.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including cardiac diagnostics, physiology assessments, and vascular ultrasound imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient data, and equipment logs while adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Support emergency responses within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma center setting by providing critical cardiovascular support during emergencies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cath lab procedures, interventional cardiology, or similar cardiovascular environments is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, cardiac diagnostics, and medical terminology essential for accurate assessments.
- Proficiency with medical equipment operation including echocardiography machines, vascular ultrasound devices, PACS systems, and cardiac stress testing equipment.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization processes, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac rhythm analysis techniques.
- Experience working within emergency medicine settings or trauma centers is advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices necessary for invasive procedures.
- Certification or licensure as a Cardiovascular Technician or equivalent is required; additional certifications in sonography or interventional radiology are a plus.
