Pantry Cook

The Black Cypress is looking for a detail-oriented Pantry Cook to join our culinary team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys creating beautiful, fresh dishes and takes pride in consistency, organization, and attention to detail.
As a Pantry Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing salads, appetizers, cold dishes, desserts, and supporting the kitchen with prep work while helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Prepare salads, appetizers, cold dishes, and desserts according to chef specifications.
- Portion and prepare ingredients for daily service.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked pantry station.
- Follow recipes and plating standards with consistency.
- Assist with daily prep and kitchen organization.
- Ensure all food is handled safely and in compliance with health department regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Help maintain a clean and efficient kitchen throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Pay
$18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
