Job Description
Bohorques Wellness Services LLC is seeking compassionate and motivated Part-Time Bilingual Tutors (English/Spanish) to provide individualized academic and educational support to children and adolescents ages 5–21, including students with special needs, developmental disabilities, learning differences, and special education needs.
Our Behavioral Health & Learning Center in North Fort Myers, Florida provides a supportive and inclusive environment designed to promote academic development, independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.
Tutors will work with students and families participating in private-pay and Step Up For Students scholarship programs. Services may include academic tutoring, homework assistance, educational skill-building, and individualized learning support.
This position is ideal for educators, paraprofessionals, college students, and professionals in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Sciences, or related fields who have experience and a genuine interest in working with children with diverse learning and developmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions.
- Provide individualized academic support in areas including:
- Reading, literacy, and comprehension
- Mathematics
- Writing and language skills
- Homework completion
- Study and organizational skills
- Academic skill-building
- Adapt instructional strategies according to each student's developmental level, learning style, abilities, and educational needs.
- Provide appropriate support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, speech/language delays, and other special needs.
- Create a structured, positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Use developmentally appropriate strategies to support attention, participation, motivation, and academic confidence.
- Collaborate professionally with parents/caregivers and the program team regarding student progress and educational needs.
- Complete required session documentation, attendance records, and progress notes accurately and timely.
- Follow individualized educational recommendations and program guidelines when applicable.
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and scholarship program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – Required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Sciences, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children with special needs and/or in special education settings is required.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in tutoring, teaching, special education, behavioral health, mentoring, childcare, after-school programs, or related settings.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles, developmental levels, and abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Patience, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to establish positive relationships with children and families.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary program team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting children diagnosed with or presenting with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, speech/language delays, or other developmental and educational needs.
- Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or special education accommodations.
- Experience providing individualized or small-group instruction.
- Familiarity with Step Up For Students scholarship programs, including FES-UA and PEP.
- Background in behavioral health, developmental services, education, or inclusive learning programs.

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
