Job Summary:
Being an ambassador for our restaurant brand; by playing a key role in overseeing the smooth operation of the front of the house. Providing our customers with a positive experience by being charismatic and customer focused, always overseeing the needs and expectations of the customers ensuring satisfaction with all aspects of their restaurant and dining or event experience. A steadfast leader the front-of-the house staff through open of service to close. Manages all front-of-the-house training, scheduling, payroll approval, inventory, and events. A liaison to the Owner in all aspects of the front-of the house and private functions.
Job Description
Functions and Competencies:
- Management in the restaurant staff objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, handling team conflicts and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions and enforcing policies and procedures with all subordinates.
- Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement, and monitoring as a second pair of eyes on food presentation and service.
- Coordinate front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations by working closely with the back of the house Executive Chef.
- Overseeing all opening and closing duties are completed correctly to the organizations policies and procedures.
- See that cleanliness and maintenance is maintained throughout.
- Exercises in-house catering function management.
- Estimate future needs for front of the house inventory and place orders.
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Daily income reports, deposits, and tip-outs.
- Balance cash drawers daily and nightly.
- Maintain POS system.
- Track employees’ hours.
- Approving tips and payroll data.
- Coordinating restaurant management operations with Owner.
- Maintains restaurants brand, operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.

- 3+ years of restaurant leadership experience
- Current certifications as required by federal/state/local law
- High school diploma or GED
- Degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
