Full Job Description

About us:

Our accounting and corporate office supports nine restaurants named Fiesta Mexicana across the "Four Corners" - Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. We are a medium-sized family owned business.

Our office operates from a home office in the residential neighborhood of Village of Queen Creek. This is not a traditional corporate setting, so please do not be alarmed that our office is located within a residential neighborhood. All applicants are encouraged to search for our restaurant's on Google to learn more about our business.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Accountant/Bookkeeper to maintain and manage our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role works closely with our team to prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial reports.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limitied to, daily bookkeeping, payroll processing, tax-related reporting (EFTPS and withholdings), quarterly reporting, and general accounting tasks. This position is on-site at our residential office in Queen Creek, Arizona.

Responsibilities

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in: Day books, Supplier ledgers, Customer ledgers, and General ledgers.
Bring accounts to the trial balance stage.
Creating and update Profit & Loss statements.
Creating and update Balance Sheets.
Perform partial checks of the posting process.
Enter data and maintain accurate financial records, lunch reports and financial statements.
Process accounts receivable and accounts payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
Assist with tax payments and returns.
Preparing quarterly financial reports.
Processing payroll and payroll data.

Requirements

Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Strong data entry skills with attention to numerical accuracy
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
Minimum 5-8 years of QuickBooks experience
Restaurant bookkeeping experience
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Queen Creek, AZ.

Pay: Starting at $31.00/hr, with higher compensation based on experience
