Full Job Description

Immigration Law Firm with Offices in Newark and Manhattan is looking for an experienced Immigration Paralegal with strong analytical skills, and team player. The law firm handles a variety of immigration cases, including but not limited to Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, Provisional Waivers, U-Visa, VAWA, DACA, SIJ, and Employment based cases. The firm also represents clients before Immigration Court, the BIA,and all circuit court.

Responsibilities and Duties

Our Paralegals work closely with Attorneys on all aspects of case preparation. Ideal candidate must be a team player and reliable.

Perform intake of cases
Draft and file petitions/USCIS applications
Communicate with clients regarding case processing and procedural issues
Update case management system
Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, making copies, filing, etc.
Translation of documents
Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress to supervising attorney
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Turkish Language (Preferred)
1+ years of immigration experience (Required)
Poses strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas.
Experience drafting and gathering documentation for Request For Evidence
Solid MS Word, Excel, spelling, grammar, and typing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Achieve a high level of productivity with accuracy
Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignment
Must have experience managing a large case load
Strong multitasking skills
