Product Manager Role
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with customer needs, business objectives, market opportunities, and company strategy.
- Partner with customers, users, business stakeholders, and internal teams to identify pain points, validate problems, and uncover product opportunities.
- Translate customer and business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional specifications.
- Prioritize product features and initiatives based on customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, effort, risk, and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, customer success, and operations teams to deliver high-quality product experiences.
- Lead product discovery activities including customer interviews, competitive research, market analysis, user research, and hypothesis validation.
- Define product requirements and provide engineering and design teams with sufficient context to make effective implementation decisions.
- Manage and continuously refine the product backlog while maintaining clear priorities for engineering teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, product demonstrations, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and product experiences.
- Make product trade-offs across scope, quality, timelines, technical constraints, and business objectives.
- Define product KPIs, success metrics, and measurement frameworks before and after product launches.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product performance, user behavior, adoption, engagement, retention, and conversion.
- Partner with analytics teams to develop dashboards and reporting required for product decision-making.
- Design and evaluate experiments, A/B tests, and feature rollouts where appropriate.
- Monitor customer feedback, support requests, product usage, and market developments to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate product launches with engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, support, and other relevant teams.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap priorities, release plans, risks, dependencies, and results to stakeholders.
- Maintain product documentation, including requirements, user stories, release documentation, decision records, and product specifications.
- Identify product risks and dependencies early and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve blockers.
- Balance short-term customer and revenue requirements with long-term product strategy and platform scalability.
- Maintain awareness of competitors, emerging technologies, industry trends, and changing customer expectations.
- Take ownership of product outcomes rather than limiting responsibility to feature delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, computer science, engineering, information systems, product management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional product management experience in a software, SaaS, technology, or digital product environment.
- Demonstrated experience owning products or significant product features from discovery through launch and post-launch iteration.
- Strong understanding of the complete software product development lifecycle.
- Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
- Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies and experience working directly with software engineering teams.
- Experience conducting customer interviews, gathering requirements, identifying pain points, and translating insights into product opportunities.
- Ability to distinguish customer requests from underlying customer problems and develop scalable product solutions.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to evaluate initiatives based on impact, effort, strategic alignment, customer value, and business value.
- Experience working closely with UX/UI designers and understanding user experience, user journeys, usability, and interaction design principles.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support product decisions.
- Experience defining and monitoring product metrics, KPIs, adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, or other relevant performance indicators.
- Working knowledge of SQL, analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, or product analytics tools.
- Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Productboard, Aha!, Linear, Notion, or equivalent product management platforms.
- Ability to understand APIs, system integrations, databases, software architecture, and technical constraints sufficiently to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions when requirements or information are incomplete.
- Experience managing competing stakeholder requirements and negotiating priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, customers, and senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, dependencies, and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing B2B SaaS, B2C, marketplace, fintech, HR technology, healthcare, e-commerce, enterprise software, or platform products.
- Experience launching new products or major features from zero to one.
- Experience scaling existing products from early adoption to broader customer usage.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, microservices, cloud platforms, and modern software architecture.
- Experience managing API-based products, platform capabilities, integrations, or developer-facing products.
- Experience with product analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, Heap, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
- Hands-on SQL experience for independently analyzing product and customer data.
- Experience developing product experiments, A/B tests, feature flags, phased rollouts, and measurement frameworks.
- Familiarity with product discovery frameworks, jobs-to-be-done, design thinking, customer journey mapping, or similar methodologies.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis, market research, and product positioning.
- Experience partnering with go-to-market teams, including sales, marketing, customer success, and partnerships.
- Understanding of SaaS metrics such as activation, adoption, retention, churn, conversion, customer acquisition, expansion, and lifetime value.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and managing complex stakeholder requirements.
- Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, LLM-powered products, automation, or AI-assisted workflows.
- Familiarity with responsible AI considerations, including model reliability, evaluation, privacy, security, and human oversight.
- Experience developing business cases and evaluating product opportunities using revenue potential, customer impact, development cost, and strategic value.
- Experience presenting product strategy, roadmap decisions, performance metrics, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Experience working in fast-paced startup, growth-stage, or highly cross-functional product environments.
Pay: $143,494.76 - $159,140.57 per year
