Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to oversee and support safety operations across multiple jobsites. In this role, you will help implement, monitor, and enforce company safety protocols while ensuring compliance with OSHA, NYCDOB, and company safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on workplace safety and contribute to a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, NYCDOB, and company requirements.
Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Lead and coordinate safety training sessions for field and office personnel.
Monitor and manage workers’ compensation claims, including documentation, reporting, and coordination in accordance with applicable laws and company procedures.
Prepare incident and accident reports, conduct investigations, and recommend preventive measures to reduce future risks.
Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to ensure ongoing compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, training sessions, incidents, corrective actions, and other safety-related activities.
Assist in promoting a company-wide culture focused on safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NYCDOB requirements, workers’ compensation procedures, and occupational health and safety principles.
Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments in construction environments.
Excellent organizational and report-writing skills with the ability to perform detailed root cause analyses.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple active jobsites.
Construction safety certifications are a plus (OSHA 30, CHST, SST, etc.).
