Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rheumatologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of rheumatic diseases, providing comprehensive care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Rheumatologist will work collaboratively with other specialists, including cardiologists and podiatrists, to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. A commitment to clinical trials and advancements in treatment methodologies is essential.

Duties

Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with rheumatic conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, including medication administration and IV infusion therapies.
Perform diagnostic procedures such as catheterization when necessary.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including those at Level II Trauma Centers, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in clinical trials aimed at improving treatment protocols for rheumatic diseases.
Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated on advancements in rheumatology and related fields to enhance patient care.

Experience

Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Rheumatology.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to rheumatic diseases.
Experience in outpatient settings is preferred, along with familiarity with cardiology and podiatry practices.
Previous involvement in clinical trials or research related to rheumatology is a plus.
Proven ability to administer medications safely and effectively, including IV infusion techniques.
