Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Closing Coordinator I supports the closing department by coordinating residential and commercial closings, preparing closing documentation, assisting closers, and ensuring all required title, tax, and policy documents are accurately prepared and delivered in a timely manner. This role works closely with closers, lenders, attorneys, and internal production teams to facilitate smooth and compliant closings.

Key Responsibilities

Closing Coordination & Scheduling

Schedule closings with title closers.
Coordinate and confirm closing dates, times, and required documentation
Respond to closer inquiries and assist with closer calls as needed

Closing & Policy Documentation

Prepare and process title policies
Make ALTA changes at closing as required
Review and prepare pro forma policies
Generate title affidavits for pre-signing
Prepare policy jackets
Assist with construction loan endorsement

Title & Continuation Support

Order and download title and tax continuations
Review continuations for accuracy and completeness
Prepare Title bills.

Tax & Recording Documents

Generate Transfer Tax forms
Ensure accuracy of recording information prior to closing

Closing Package Preparation

Assemble closer packages
Print supporting bills and closing documentation
Ensure all required documents are included and properly formatted

Administrative & Support Duties

Maintain organized closing files and documentation
Support closers and senior coordinators with daily operational needs
Assist with additional closing-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Prior experience in a title company, real estate closing, or legal support role preferred
Knowledge of title policies, ALTA forms, ETAX, deeds, and closing procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple closings and deadlines
Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in title software and Microsoft Office preferred

Work Environment

Fast-paced office environment with frequent deadlines
Regular interaction with attorneys, lenders, and closers
