Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding, and submitting claims efficiently to optimize revenue cycle management. Your expertise will help streamline financial operations while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies and clinical confidentiality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment by facilitating smooth financial transactions and supporting patient care through precise records management.

Duties

Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other billing software.
Verify patient insurance information and ensure all medical records are correctly coded according to medical terminology and billing guidelines.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly, resolving discrepancies to maximize reimbursement.
Maintain comprehensive records of billing activities, including detailed documentation of payments, adjustments, and correspondence with insurance providers.
Ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and health regulation policies during all billing processes.
Collaborate with medical office staff to review patient accounts and resolve billing issues efficiently.
Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and revenue cycle management best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Skills

Strong knowledge of health regulation policies and medical office procedures.
Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools.
Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical confidentiality policies.
Familiarity with revenue cycle management processes from patient registration through final payment collection.
Excellent records management skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to interpret insurance policies, coding guidelines, and billing regulations effectively.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients.
