Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead and optimize our warehouse activities. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution operations, ensure inventory accuracy, optimize labor efficiency, and drive process improvements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment, supporting our commitment to excellence in logistics and materials handling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a dedicated team while utilizing your expertise in warehouse management systems, inventory control, and shipping & receiving procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure seamless distribution flow.
Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee inventory management processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain accurate stock levels.
Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to shipping schedules.
Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize space utilization.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols during all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting and mechanical equipment operation such as forklifts.
Conduct regular audits for inventory control accuracy and implement corrective actions as needed.
Oversee shipping & receiving operations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to quality standards.
Maintain detailed records of all warehouse activities, incidents, and safety compliance reports.
Monitor and analyze key operational KPIs, including productivity, accuracy, labor efficiency, and cost per unit.
Manage operational forecasting, labor planning, and scheduling to align resources with business volume.
Partner with Finance to understand P&L drivers, payroll cost per unit, and profitability levers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS), and logistics processes.
Hands-on experience with forklift operation; certification preferred.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and materials handling.
Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop others through accountability and engagement.
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements that increase productivity and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation.
Full P&L ownership or strong exposure to financial management. Must understand how labor, volume, waste, overtime, and claims impact profitability.
