Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hibachi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. As a key player in our restaurant, you will craft exceptional hibachi-style dishes, entertain guests with your culinary flair, and deliver memorable dining experiences. Your expertise in food preparation, cooking, and food safety will ensure every plate is a masterpiece, while your lively personality will elevate the atmosphere for our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a fast-paced, fine dining environment that values creativity and precision.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook hibachi-style dishes with precision, flair, and attention to presentation
Engage guests with entertaining cooking demonstrations and interact professionally throughout service
Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Assist in menu planning to incorporate seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including knife skills and food prep stations
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold high standards of food quality
Support catering events and special occasions by preparing large quantities of hibachi dishes efficiently

Experience

Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, particularly with hibachi or Japanese cuisine preferred
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards
Demonstrated skills in food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen operations
Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs
Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food service techniques
Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and attention to detail

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
