This role sits at the center of our shared-services finance model—so how you work matters as much as what you deliver.

The Work

Rosewood provides shared-services finance support for Rosewood Corporate and six operating entities. This role is for someone who enjoys owning accounting mechanics, building repeatable processes, and keeping the close clean and predictable.

You will run day-to-day controllership execution with a heavy emphasis on project-based revenue recognition and project costing (roughly 70% project / 30% construction/WIP), while supervising a small team and initiating treasury activity under defined approval controls.

What You’ll Own

Monthly close across multiple entities with clean support and consistent standards (close is completed on time each month; target timeline is within 20 days).
Revenue recognition + project costing governance: accuracy, documentation, repeatability, and audit-readiness—especially around corporate revenue recognition tied to project costs.
Balance sheet integrity: reconciliations, roll-forwards, and schedules that can be reviewed quickly and trusted.
Treasury initiation: initiate most cash transfers, ACH payments, and check activity with Controller/CFO approval and strong audit trails.
Audit and CPA support: annual reviews/audits; prepare schedules and documentation in partnership with the Controller.
Team leadership & development: direct oversight of 4 roles; drive quality and timeliness, strengthen capability through coaching and cross-training, and build clear ownership across the team.
Systems improvement: leverage Sage Intacct and Rosewood’s internal ERP (Cruxos)—and other supporting finance tools—to improve workflows, reporting, and controls.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or closely related).
Demonstrated experience owning close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience with project accounting / project-based revenue recognition and costing; exposure to construction/WIP is beneficial.
Prior people management experience required (direct supervision and performance accountability).
Strong Excel skills and comfort working in ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred).
CPA preferred (not required).

Tools & Tech Environment

Sage Intacct + Cruxos ERP (primary systems) plus other operational finance tools supporting billing, treasury, reporting, and compliance
Excel-heavy workflows, standardized close checklists, documented controls
Practical use of automation/AI for productivity (with governance and confidentiality)

Revenue recognition and project costing are accurate, supported, consistent—and leadership gets confidence early (no late-month surprises).
Close deliverables are repeatable, reviewable, and on schedule across entities.
Treasury activity is initiated efficiently with clean approvals and documentation.
Your team is clear on expectations, gets timely feedback, grows in capability, and delivers quality work with strong ownership.
