Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Construction President to lead our commercial and industrial building projects in Raleigh, NC.
The role reports to the CEO and covers multiple offices throughout the region. Projects involve commercial, light industrial, medical/healthcare, office and life-sciences.
This high-impact leadership role requires a visionary executive who can drive operational excellence, foster business growth, and oversee large-scale construction initiatives with confidence and clarity. As the Construction President, you will be at the forefront of shaping project success, managing diverse teams, and ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our reputation as a premier builder of commercial and industrial facilities in the region.
Requirements
Must have a stable job history with a top ENR general contractor or CM firm having functioned as a divisional manager, COO, or president.
Duties
Provide strategic direction for all construction operations, aligning project goals with company objectives and market opportunities.
Lead, supervise, and develop senior management teams across project management, operations, safety, and business development functions.
Oversee the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management of multiple large-scale projects to ensure profitability and resource efficiency.
Drive process improvements by implementing best practices in project delivery, safety protocols, quality control, and operational workflows.
Cultivate strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners to promote business development and repeat opportunities.
Manage change management initiatives to adapt to market shifts and evolving project requirements effectively.
Oversee program management activities to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Lead strategic planning efforts to expand market presence, identify new business opportunities, and enhance operational capabilities.
Skills
Demonstrated expertise in operations management within the construction industry with a focus on commercial and industrial buildings.
Proven experience in senior leadership roles involving supervising diverse teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
Strong skills in change management, strategic planning, and process improvement to optimize workflows and organizational effectiveness.
