Full Job Description

PRESS is currently seeking station cooks to add to our new location of PRESS opening in Downtown Raleigh.

PRESS specializes in a unique combination of high-quality craft coffee & cocktail programs alongside an evolving, scratch-made kitchen menu that demonstrates our emphasis on being European Inspired, Carolina Made.

We are an upscale all-day café, providing the opportunity to enjoy varying menu items and guest experiences across day parts and days of the week.

You will be responsible for operating standard kitchen equipment, communicating efficiently and effectively, maintaining a high-level of cleanliness and sanitation, and maintaining consistent quality and speed in the preparation and plating of all items. In addition, you will be required to make sure appropriate areas are set up and stocked and ready for efficient service and that all products are fresh and adhere to our high level of quality. A willingness to work as a part of a dynamic, efficient team in a high volume, fast-paced environment is imperative to succeed. If you have a minimum of 1-year culinary experience please submit a resume.

Full-time and part time openings, with overtime pay if over 40 hours.

Additional Candidate Qualities

Hands-on experience with standard kitchen equipment and open-fire cooking is required
Math skills and recipe conversions
Knowledge of sanitation regulations
Memorization of menu items required
Ability to display active listening skills and coordination
Handles volume and stress with calm efficiency and a strong voice
Able to meet daily routines and speed and consistency in performing prep and set up duties.

We operate a pooled tip share with a minimum of $7 per hour in tip share for a guaranteed hourly wage of your base pay + $7/hr. Average actual hourly tip share is currently over $7/hr and varies by days of week/shifts worked at our current locations, Raleigh will be comparable and decided once business starts.
