Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and member-focused Member Service Representative to join our team as an MSR floater between our Raleigh branch and our Wake Forest branch. In this role, you will provide exceptional service by assisting members with their financial needs, processing transactions accurately, opening accounts, identifying lending opportunities, and educating members on products and services. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and delivering an outstanding member experience. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and an energetic, enthusiastic approach. member experience.

Responsibilities

Greet members promptly and professionally while providing exceptional service.
Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, and other teller transactions accurately.
Open and maintain checking, savings, certificates, and other deposit accounts.
Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services, including loans, credit cards, and digital banking solutions.
Assist members with online banking, mobile banking, debit cards, and account maintenance.
Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate records at the end of each business day.
Respond to member inquiries by phone, email, and in person. Telephone volume is heavy therefore a great deal of the day will involve member interaction through the phone system.
Resolve member concerns efficiently while maintaining a positive experience.
Ensure compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in branch sales initiatives and help achieve branch goals for membership growth, referrals, and cross-sales.
Maintain confidentiality of member information at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Maintained organized filing systems for paper and electronic records.

Knowledge of financial products and services
Ability to identify member needs and make appropriate referrals
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect member information
Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude

Experience

Prior cash-handling experience is required.
A strong financial services or banking background is preferred.
Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Google Workspace applications.
Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and proofreading.
Bilingual skills are highly desirable to support and serve the needs of a diverse community.
Demonstrated professional phone etiquette, with experience effectively managing multi-line phone systems.
Proven ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
