Marketing Strategy Consultant (1099 Independent Contractor)

Join Luma Dental Studio

Luma Dental Studio is a modern, patient-centered dental practice with an aesthetic-first philosophy located in the North Hills area of Raleigh, NC. We are seeking an experienced Marketing Strategy Consultant to help build and grow our brand, increase patient acquisition, and establish Luma Dental Studio as the premier destination for exceptional dental care Raleigh.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Hours are flexible and will vary based on business needs. This role is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys developing growth strategies for small businesses and collaborating with leadership to achieve measurable results.

Position Summary

The Marketing Strategy Consultant will serve as Luma Dental Studio's marketing advisor, partnering directly with the Practice Owner to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the practice's growth goals.

This individual will focus on strategy, planning, research, budgeting, and may oversee supervising the Marketing Assistant, who will execute many of the day-to-day marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and maintain Luma Dental Studio's overall marketing strategy.
Create annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans aligned with business goals.
Identify opportunities to increase new patient acquisition and patient retention.
Develop initiatives that strengthen Luma's brand awareness and community presence.

Budget & Growth Planning

Recommend annual and monthly marketing budgets.
Evaluate marketing investments and recommend initiatives that provide measurable value.
Identify new growth opportunities through grassroots marketing, partnerships, digital campaigns, and community outreach.

Community Outreach & Partnerships

Research and identify strategic community partnerships, sponsorships, networking opportunities, and local events.
Build relationships with local businesses, schools, organizations, fitness studios, apartment communities, healthcare providers, and other referral partners.
Attend community events and networking functions as appropriate or coordinate Marketing Assistant participation when needed.

Marketing Oversight

Supervise and mentor the Marketing Assistant by providing direction, priorities, and campaign guidance.
Review marketing initiatives to ensure consistency with Luma's brand and strategic goals.
Collaborate with leadership to prioritize marketing efforts based on practice objectives.

Brand Strategy

Protect and strengthen Luma Dental Studio's premium, modern brand identity.
Ensure all marketing materials and messaging reflect the practice's aesthetic-first philosophy and commitment to exceptional patient experiences.
Recommend new marketing channels, campaigns, and creative ideas to keep the brand competitive.

Research & Market Intelligence

Conduct ongoing research on competitors, industry trends, patient demographics, and marketing best practices.
Evaluate emerging marketing opportunities and recommend innovative strategies to support continued growth.

Qualifications

Must have strong experience with healthcare marketing OR a degree in strategic marketing, with demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives.
Experience creating marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth and customer acquisition.
Proven experience with grassroots marketing, community engagement, partnership development, and local brand building.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, SEO, email marketing, and paid advertising.
Experience managing marketing budgets and evaluating return on investment.
Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members is preferred.
Healthcare, dental, aesthetic, luxury, or service-based marketing experience is strongly preferred.
