Full Job Description

We are looking for an AML/KYC Analyst to support financial crime investigations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will review alerts and cases tied to suspicious activity, gather and evaluate relevant information, and help ensure investigations are completed accurately and on schedule. This position is well suited for an individual who can communicate findings clearly, manage regulatory reporting requirements, and contribute to a strong compliance environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct end-to-end reviews of potential financial crime activity, including fraud, money laundering, and related suspicious behavior across assigned business areas.
Prepare clear, accurate case documentation and bring investigations to completion within established productivity and quality expectations.
Draft and file Suspicious Activity Reports in a timely manner, ensuring information is complete, well supported, and suitable for regulatory or law enforcement submission.
Summarize investigative findings for leadership and business partners, highlighting notable risks and recommending next steps when concerns are identified.
Work closely with compliance, risk, and front-line teams to gather information, resolve open items, and support case decisions.
Perform investigative support activities such as quality checks, guidance sharing, training assistance, and communication of procedural updates.
Contribute feedback on monitoring scenarios, controls, or testing efforts to help strengthen financial crimes detection and investigation processes.
Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 2 years of experience in AML, KYC, fraud, risk, compliance, or a related financial crimes function.
Working knowledge of anti-money laundering investigative practices and regulatory reporting standards.
Ability to analyze case information thoroughly, identify relevant risk factors, and document findings with accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present investigative conclusions to stakeholders.
Proficiency in keyboarding with the ability to type at least 5,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple investigations in a deadline-driven environment.
