Full-time prenatal and childbirth educator who facilitates and coordinates group prenatal programs at our main and satellite FQHC locations. Also performs Medical Assistant or Nurse duties as assigned, based on qualifications.
Begin each day welcoming expectant mothers, guiding them through OB intake appointments, and providing one-on-one prenatal instruction. Schedule and coordinate visits to ensure a seamless experience. Lead weekly Centering Pregnancy prenatal classes, coordinate quarterly Parenting Poppas programs (beginning in first quarter of 2026) , attend required events, prepare annual reports, and maintain program materials to support family milestones. Coordinate appointments for both maternal postpartum and pediatric newborn visits.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, breastfeeding, infant development, and infant care. The educator uses evidence-based methods grounded in frameworks such as Lamaze and the World Health Organization's breastfeeding standards to ensure alignment with quality teaching standards. This enhances instruction and participant confidence.

Researches, synthesizes, and maintains evidence-based curriculum.

Applies learner-centered teaching strategies.

Manages and facilitates groups of diverse learners effectively.

Proficient in teaching a wide range of relaxation and labor coping strategies.

Experience in group dynamics and facilitation is preferred.
Qualifications:

RN, LPN, MA, or completed degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Doula, or Midwifery

For an interested candidate seeking training in one of the above fields, a high school diploma is required. Successful completion of Centering Facilitator training and relevant life experience in pregnancy, prenatal care, parenting, and health education are also required.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00pm with flexibility
