Full Job Description

A commercial salesperson at CB Flooring identifies, develops, and manages commercial flooring and tile opportunities on behalf of the company. This individual is responsible for building relationships with general contractors, developers, and major end use systems to assist them with their building finish needs. They create proposals, offer suggestions, negotiate contracts, compile change orders, and oversee our installations with the assistance of a project team. In 2025 we opened up a new branch location in Raleigh, NC where we currently have three individuals who execute the day to day operations of the branch. This branch is a tight-knit team with strong operational support. With the growth we have seen in this branch, we are looking for a driven Commercial Sales Representative to join us in a full time capacity. A flooring background is not required, but it is preferred that this individual has a basic knowledge of the construction industry and/or comes from a parallel finish trade.

Responsibilities:

-Prospect, identify and qualify good projects for the company

-Build relationships with general contractors, developers, end users, suppliers, architects, designers, and other industry professionals

-Assist clients with product selections, installation methods, and design

-Create cost estimates and proposals and deliver to clients

-Negotiate contract terms and conditions, and ensure accurate scopes of work

-Manage booked projects after award to ensure successful installation with the help of a project team

Requirements & Qualifications:

-A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in a related field is preferred

-Experience in the building materials industry or business to business sales in general

-A valid driver’s license

-Willingness to travel in the local area as required

-Willingness to work in a commission-based structure

The company specializes in large, complex, and time sensitive projects for blue chip general contractors, real estate developers, and major end use systems. Our offerings include carpet, resilient, hardwood, ceramic, porcelain, stone, polished concrete, leveling, & moisture mitigation. Servicing the greater Mid-Atlantic from four distinct locations, our operating territory includes Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware, and Washington, DC. Our business segments include Multifamily, Corporate, Healthcare, Education, Government, Hospitality, and everything in between. We are involved in projects every step of the way, including conceptualization, design, budget, installation, and close out.
