Join our dynamic team as a Welder / Fabricator Apprentice and kickstart your career in metal fabrication and welding! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working with various metal materials, interpreting technical drawings, and developing essential skills in welding and fabrication processes. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn to operate power tools, measure and cut metal accurately, and adhere to safety protocols while contributing to real-world projects on construction sites or in fabrication shops. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a solid foundation in welding technology and mechanical fabrication.

Glass Railing Company | Entry-Level Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Welder/Fabricator Apprentice to join our growing glass railing company in the Raleigh area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in welding, metal fabrication, and glass railing installation.

No professional welding experience required — we are willing to train the right person. A willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and good attitude are more important than experience.

What You’ll Learn & Do:

Learn TIG,MIG, and Stick welding and metal fabrication techniques
Assist with fabrication of aluminum and/or metal railing components
Measure, cut, drill, grind, and prepare materials
Read basic measurements, drawings, and layouts
Assist with glass railing installations
Learn how to properly use hand and power tools
Help load, unload, and safely handle materials and glass
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow company safety and quality standards
Work alongside experienced fabricators and installers
Develop the skills needed to advance into a skilled Welder/Fabricator position

What We’re Looking For:

Dependable and on time
Willing to learn and take direction
Good mechanical aptitude
Comfortable working with hand and power tools
Able to read a tape measure and basic measurements
Attention to detail
Able to work safely around glass and metal
Able to work both in the shop and on job sites
Good attitude and team player
Previous welding, fabrication, construction, or trade-school experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move materials safely
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools throughout the day
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
Must be able to follow proper safety procedures when working around glass, metal, and welding equipment
