Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Associate, Investments & Asset Management is a multidisciplinary investment and asset management professional responsible for supporting capital formation and deployment, asset-level business plan execution, investment administration and reporting, and capital partner support across the company’s real estate platform. This role works directly with the Senior Director of Capital and Asset Strategy to support the capitalization and deployment of investment vehicles while maintaining analytical oversight of invested assets and portfolio performance.

The role is highly analytical and hands-on, serving as a key execution partner across asset management and investment functions. This position requires strong financial modeling capabilities, working knowledge of real estate governing documents and waterfall structures, and the ability to translate complex operational, financial, and investment data into actionable insights for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Asset Management & Portfolio Execution

Build, maintain, and update asset-level financial models, operating forecasts, and business plans across the portfolio.
Evaluate leasing, capital expenditure, financing, and disposition decisions through financial and valuation analysis.
Monitor asset-level debt compliance, covenant performance, and capital structure implications.
Assess asset performance relative to strategic objectives, underwriting, and market conditions, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize value.
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of asset- and portfolio-level modeling, reporting, and decision-making processes.

Capital Formation, Deployment & Investment Administration

Assist in the preparation of fundraising materials, track record analyses, investor diligence materials, and other capital raising support functions.
Support capital formation and deployment initiatives including underwriting, financial modeling, capital planning, and investment execution.
Maintain investment models and support capital activity, investor allocations, distribution workflows, redemption scenarios, and periodic performance reporting across investment vehicles.
Support enhancements to investment administration processes, modeling tools, and capital reporting workflow.

Investment Reporting & Performance Insights

Prepare recurring investment performance reports and analyses across assets, portfolios, and investment vehicles.
Support internal and external reporting through performance summaries, return analyses, valuation updates, and portfolio-level insights.
Coordinate with accounting and leadership teams to ensure consistency between financial reporting, investment models, and investor reporting outputs.
Participate in investor and capital partner meetings, diligence processes, and performance discussions as an analytical resource and support partner.
Contribute to the refinement of reporting processes, analytical frameworks, and data integrity across assets and investment vehicles.

Investment Structuring & Governance

Maintain and refine complex investment models including waterfalls, promotes, joint venture economics, debt structures, and capital event scenarios.
Develop fluency in governing documents (including operating agreements, loan documents, and firm policies) to support the accurate execution of investment models, capital activities, and reporting outputs.

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field required. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development strongly valued.
3–6 years of experience in real estate investments, asset management, or private equity required. Exposure to institutional investment management, fund structures, and multiple asset classes or investment strategies is strongly preferred.
Advanced financial modeling skills including debt modeling, equity structuring, and waterfall mechanics.
Working knowledge of real estate investment structures, operating agreements, and the economic interplay across the capital stack.
Experience supporting investor reporting, diligence, and ongoing capital partner engagement strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, with strong emphasis on Excel-based financial modeling. Yardi, Argus, and CoStar experience strongly preferred. Comfort leveraging AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies is valued.
