Branch Manager for Security Equipment Distributor

*** SEEKING APPLICANTS WITH EXPERIENCE IN GATE OPERATOR, ACCESS CONTROL, OR CCTV EQUIPMENT ***

JOB SUMMARY

Candidate must have or develop a thorough understanding of gate operator, access control and CCTV industry and its unique purpose. The candidate will know or come to intimately know the wide variety of products supported by the company. One must also have a thorough understanding of financials and be able to generate, read and comprehend a budget, a balance sheet and a profit / loss report. Candidate is responsible for proper day to day operations, financial stability of the branch and care of employees as outlined by employee handbook.

BRANCH MANAGER DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS
Include but are not limited to the following:

Comprehend the past and present history of branch location and endeavor to expand and improve upon it.
Closely monitor and control receivables.
Closely monitor and control inventory.
Know and understand company policies and procedures well enough to teach and enforce them.
Build good relationships with our partners, customers and vendor representatives.
Use monthly financial reports to keep Branch on course.
Guide and mentor employees while providing structure and leadership to the team.
Groom a successor while delegating tasks and responsibilities.
Employ an attitude of success when communicating or collaborating with administrative, executive, operations or sales teammates.
Become a brand ambassador; represent the company in a positive light and raise brand awareness by providing partners with a memorable experience whether in person or telecommunicating.
Utilize good business practice, ethics and morals.

General daily duties in addition to regular store activities are:

Invoice: Check Sales Orders for accuracy, pricing and monitor for inventory levels.
Keep timely communications.
File all documents timely and accurately.
Inspect receivables report and take action when required.
Create and receive purchase orders to facilitate accurate and adequate inventory level.
Create RMA requests, Sales Credit Memos and Purchase Credit Memo documents.
Monitor closely, daily for timely cycle completion. Keep SCM and PCM under control.
Contact customers and vendors if necessary.
Check SO’s and PPO’s (Purchase Orders) for drop ships and special orders ensuring proper procedures.
Manage petty cash and deposit checks. Include reports with scans.
Maintain proper levels of supplies and materials for the location to function properly.
Maintain facility in standing with contractual obligations, safety expectations, community standards and company expectations.
Follow and enforce company polices as stated in company handbook.
Manage and grow branch employee’s capabilities and skills.
Communicate with Vendor Reps for any concerns, problems or to learn of new products, policies and promotions.
Communicate with current customer base for their concerns, problems and general satisfaction. And, resolve any issues in a timely and satisfactory fashion.
Establish plans and goals to grow branch to full potential.
Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis to communicate goals, expectations, and the current state of the branch.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Self-motivated, dependable team member willing to do what it takes to get the job done right and meet or exceed client expectations.
The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects in a changing environment.
10 years or more experience in a customer facing sales and/or retail environment.
Minimum three (3) years management experience, including developing bids and overseeing project completion.
Experience or familiarity with automated gate industry preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite products.
Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the office, vendors and distributors.
Able to work with tools, forklifts and materials, including the manipulation of objects that can weigh in excess of 100 pounds.
Adept at establishing relationships onsite with all parties involved in the vendor process.
Physically able to handle assigned tasks, including climbing ladders and scaffold.

Physical Qualifications:

Requires prolonged standing, climbing, bending, lifting and kneeling as necessary.
Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness and sense of balance required.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is generally performed in an office environment with some potential for travel to other branch locations or home office as needed.
Often works additional hours beyond normal schedule based upon project schedules and vendor needs.
Potential slip and/or fall hazards.
May require working outdoors in variable weather conditions where there is a potential for physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, and noise.
