Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and a passion for delivering comprehensive, compassionate care. This role involves providing direct patient care across various settings, utilizing advanced nursing techniques, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in promoting health, managing acute and chronic conditions, and supporting patients through personalized care plans.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), wound care, ostomy management, and tube feeding.
Manage urgent care situations by triaging patients effectively and providing immediate interventions for acute pain or trauma cases within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex needs including those with developmental disabilities, memory care requirements, or behavioral health issues.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical documentation and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
Educate patients on health management strategies including medication administration, health coaching, discharge planning, and post-acute care instructions.
Support laboratory specimen collection/processing, diagnostic evaluations, and infection control procedures to uphold high standards of safety and quality.

Experience

Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU/CCU/PICU units, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, neonatal resuscitation procedures (NRP), or trauma medicine is highly desirable.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; proficiency in ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is preferred.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in geriatrics/memory care environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of infection control practices, laboratory procedures, CPT coding for procedures/services, and OSHA standards related to aseptic technique.
Strong understanding of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and medical terminology; prior experience in medical-surgical units or urgent care settings is beneficial.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills and compassionate patient interaction.
