Full Job Description

Position Overview

Paramount Property Tax Appeal is seeking a professional Account Executive to manage post-appeal client offboarding, billing, and collections.

This is not a traditional sales position. This client-facing role focuses on helping clients understand their appeal results, explaining invoices, collecting outstanding balances, and ensuring accounts are properly completed and closed.

The ideal candidate is comfortable discussing money, asking for payment, addressing objections, and following up consistently while maintaining a professional client experience. Property tax experience is not required; training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Client Offboarding

Manage client accounts through the post-appeal offboarding process.
Confirm that appeal, billing, collection, and administrative requirements are complete before account closure.
Ensure outstanding balances and billing issues are addressed.
Coordinate with Operations, Accounting, Collections, and other departments to resolve open items.
Provide final client communication and maintain accurate account records.
Identify stalled accounts and determine the next steps needed for completion.
Help improve the post-appeal billing and offboarding process.

Billing & Collections

Explain appeal results, invoices, fees, and payment expectations to clients.
Confidently request payment and establish clear payment timelines.
Follow up on outstanding balances until payment or resolution is reached.
Address billing questions, disputes, and objections professionally.
Document client conversations, payment commitments, and account status.
Escalate complex issues when necessary and support consistent collection practices.

Team Collaboration

Provide guidance and support to the Collections Team.
Help prioritize accounts requiring follow-up or escalation.
Serve as a resource for difficult client conversations.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account issues and improve efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Experience in collections, accounts receivable, billing, account management, or a related client-facing role.
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
Comfort discussing invoices, outstanding balances, and payment directly with clients.
Ability to remain professional and persistent during difficult conversations.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to explain financial information clearly.
Experience with CRM, accounting, or billing systems; Salesforce is a plus.
Leadership or team mentoring experience is preferred.
Property tax, real estate, professional services, legal, or financial services experience is a plus.

The successful candidate is confident asking clients for payment, comfortable handling objections, and committed to consistent follow-up. You should be solutions-oriented, detail-focused, and able to balance a positive client experience with the company’s need to collect amounts owed.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
