Breakfast Cook & Attendant
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Breakfast Cook & Attendant role is responsible for preparing and serving a warm, welcoming breakfast experience for our guests on weekends at Pink Palm Inn, an 11-room adults-only boutique hotel in Palm Springs. Your primary role is to deliver a consistent, high-quality meal that sets the tone for a great day and leaves a positive lasting impression. This position requires a motivated individual who is organized, calm under pressure, and has a strong team-oriented work ethic with a positive attitude. As a key part of our guest experience, you take pride in the food you prepare and the joy it brings to the table. You have a passion for cooking and a commitment to quality. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
● Prepare and serve a hot breakfast for hotel guests each weekend morning.
● Ensure all food is prepared consistently and presented in an appealing, welcoming way.
● Manage food prep, inventory, and supplies to minimize waste.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service area throughout service.
● Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
● Coordinate breakdown and post-service cleaning with the service/support staff.
● Communicate any supply needs or issues to management.
● Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the dress code.
● Show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
● Perform other related duties as requested by management and/or that support the team.
● Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
● 3+ years of cooking experience, preferably in a hotel; boutique hotel experience preferred.
● Possess and maintain a valid California Food Handler Card accepted in Riverside County.
● Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and solution-oriented mindset.
● Strong attention to detail with a focus on food quality and presentation.
● Ability to work weekends consistently.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
● Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours in length.
● Must be able to exert well-paced ability to remain organized and calm during high-volume shifts.
● Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
● Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual accuracies.
● Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment on the premises.

In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
