Full Job Description

Project Manager at Blair Sign Programs

We are a leading national sign company that designs, builds and installs exterior signs and sign programs for national retailers and commercial retail developers, coast to coast. We have just celebrated our Twenty-Five Year Anniversary of retail branding excellence in the built environment. Our current plans include opportunities for experienced project coordinators and managers to join our growing team. This is not an entry level position and requires a minimum of three-years Project Management related work experience. Key elements and experience required include the following;

Responsibilities as a Project Manager:

Project Management & Execution

Oversee all phases of illuminated sign projects from design approval through to installation.
Develop and manage project timelines to ensure all deliverables are met on schedule.
Maintain ownership of the project lifecycle and ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

Create and issue purchase orders (POs) for materials, fabrication, and installation.
Source, hire, and manage external vendors, installers, and subcontractors.
Coordinate all site activities related to sign installation.

Code & Compliance

Research, interpret, and analyze local and municipal sign codes and permitting requirements.
Work with permitting agencies to secure necessary approvals and ensure compliance.

Budget & Cost Management

Analyze and manage project costs, ensuring budgets are adhered to and any deviations are tracked and communicated.
Provide cost-saving recommendations and value-engineering solutions when needed.

Communication & Collaboration

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors (GCs), project managers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain regular updates with clients and GCs to communicate timelines, approvals, and issues.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.
Listen actively to client needs and provide effective, tailored solutions that align with project goals, brand requirements, and local regulations.

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues that arise during manufacturing or installation.
Approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, proactively addressing potential risks and developing creative options that benefit both the project and the client.

Able to adapt quickly to new systems, platforms, or tools as required by the company or clients, while adhering to established internal protocols and quality standards.
Comfortable learning and working with new software tools and systems.
Demonstrates strong attention to process, detail, and compliance with established protocols.
Minimum of three-years of project delivery
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Minimum of a two-year degree, or equal
Some design ability is a big plus
Desire for a career, not a job
