Schedule: Sunday (morning shift), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday
Days Off: Thursday & Friday
Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

About Well-Spring

Well-Spring is an award-winning Life Plan Community in Greensboro, NC, known for combining exceptional dining, warm hospitality, and a strong team culture. We take pride in creating an elevated dining experience for our residents while maintaining a supportive, respectful, and team-driven work environment.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cook with fine dining experience to join our Dining Services team. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who takes pride in scratch cooking, quality presentation, and consistency, and who enjoys working in a structured, resident-focused setting.

What You'll Do

Prepare high-quality meals from scratch, including soups, sauces, seafood, meats, and daily specials.
Follow a rotating 5-week menu while maintaining flexibility for resident preferences.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation through proper tasting and adjustments.
Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Support the Executive Chef and Director of Dining with daily kitchen operations.
Work collaboratively with the dining team to ensure timely, exceptional service.

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience.
Fine dining experience strongly preferred.
Experience in restaurants, healthcare, or retirement communities is a plus.
Strong knowledge of scratch cooking, food safety, and culinary techniques.
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Commitment to safe food handling and sanitation.
A collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
