Full Job Description

Tally's needs a Sous Chef. The ideal candidate has past leadership experience, knows a lot about food, and is passionate and energetic.

Ideal candidate will have 4+ years of kitchen leadership experience as a Sous, Kitchen Manager, or similar title and will have 5+years of cooking experience, either in fine dining or high-volume.

Duties include:

Steering daily prep in the right direction.
Leading the galley during service.
Assisting with menu development, both in design and in publishing new menus.
Ording food and ensuring Tally's has effective food costing.
Scheduling, training and otherwise developing staff.
Checking out kitchen employees at the end of each shift.
Storing food products safely and ensuring a proper rotation to minimize waste.
Ensuring we have a clean, sanitary, and functional kitchen.
Making effective use of company tools such as Toast and 7shifts.
Modeling ideal behavior to your team.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Must live in Rapid City or plan to have relocated here prior to starting.
Must be a food expert, knowlagable both about styles of cuisine and food safety.
Must be able to provide 3 professional references.
