Shining Pathway ABA provides individualized, assent-based ABA services designed to help children and individuals with developmental disabilities build meaningful skills and greater independence.

About the Position
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT), you will work directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will implement individualized treatment programs, collect and record clinical data, support skill development, and help create engaging learning opportunities throughout each session.
This is an active, hands-on position. Our RBTs are not simply expected to "run programs." We want team members who build relationships with clients, recognize individual needs, remain engaged during sessions, and understand the purpose behind the skills they are teaching.
No prior ABA experience is required. Shining Pathway ABA provides paid training and ongoing clinical support to help you develop the skills necessary to succeed in the role.
What You'll Do
- Provide individualized ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA
- Build positive, trusting relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- Implement individualized treatment and behavior support plans as directed by the clinical team
- Use evidence-based ABA strategies to support communication, independence, social skills, adaptive skills, and other treatment goals
- Participate in play-based and client-centered activities
- Follow each client's individualized treatment protocols accurately
- Collect objective and accurate data throughout sessions
- Document session information within required timeframes
- Support clients with appropriate activities of daily living, including hygiene, toileting, dressing, feeding, and independence skills when applicable
- Recognize changes in client behavior, regulation, motivation, and environmental factors
- Respond to challenging behavior according to the client's individualized behavior support plan
- Maintain client safety and follow all applicable safety procedures
- Communicate relevant client information and concerns to the supervising BCBA and clinical team
- Follow company procedures for caregiver communication and confidentiality
- Complete required preparation, cleaning, and end-of-day responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, staff meetings, and professional development
- Provide services in clinic, home, school, and community environments as assigned
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and company requirements
What a Typical Day May Look Like
Start of Your Day
- Review client programs and session expectations
- Prepare materials and the treatment environment
- Review relevant information from the clinical team
- Be ready and prepared for the scheduled start time
During a Session
- Build rapport and establish a positive working relationship
- Engage the client through play and preferred activities
- Create opportunities for communication and skill development
- Implement individualized treatment programs
- Collect data in the moment
- Support regulation and independence
- Implement behavior-support strategies as directed
- Communicate relevant concerns to the clinical team
End of Your Day
- Complete required session documentation
- Review and organize data
- Complete assigned cleaning and preparation duties
- Communicate important session information to the appropriate team members
- Prepare for upcoming sessions
Weekly Bonus Opportunity
Eligible BTs and RBTs may earn an additional weekly attendance and performance bonus based on total scheduled/paid hours and meeting applicable eligibility requirements.
- 20.00–29.99 total scheduled/paid hours: $50 weekly bonus
- 30.00+ total scheduled/paid hours: $150 weekly bonus
Scheduled paid time may include direct service, setup/preparation time, and designated paid non-billable time as recorded through the company's timekeeping system.
Bonuses are earned weekly and paid biweekly with payroll.
To qualify, employees must meet applicable attendance, reliability, documentation, work-completion, and job-duty requirements during the workweek.
Client cancellations, family no-shows, company-initiated schedule reductions, management-directed schedule changes, and authorization or payer-related delays outside the employee's control do not negatively affect bonus eligibility.
Flexible Scheduling
We offer flexible scheduling options for both part-time and full-time team members.
Schedules are developed based on:

Because consistency is important to our clients, employees are expected to maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to successfully complete required RBT training and competency requirements
- Ability to meet applicable employment and background-check requirements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and individualized treatment protocols
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to accurately collect data and complete documentation
- Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Genuine interest in working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities
Preferred, But Not Required
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Previous experience working with children
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Previous ABA experience
- Experience in childcare, education, special education, behavioral health, or related fields
- Coursework or education in psychology, behavior analysis, education, special education, social work, or a related field
